Description

Google Antigravity is an agent-first AI-powered development platform built by Google and unveiled on November 18, 2025 alongside the launch of Gemini 3. It is a heavily modified fork of Visual Studio Code that lets developers delegate complex coding tasks to autonomous agents primarily powered by Gemini 3.1 Pro and Gemini 3 Flash.

The environment offers two main views: an Editor view (a familiar IDE with an agent side panel) and a Manager view (a control center for orchestrating multiple agents working in parallel and asynchronously across workspaces). Agents produce so-called Artifacts — verifiable deliverables such as task lists, implementation plans, screenshots and browser recordings — and have direct access to the editor, terminal and an integrated browser.

The platform is available in public preview free of charge on Windows, macOS and Linux. In addition to Gemini, it also supports Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.6 and an open-source variant of OpenAI models (GPT-OSS-120B).
