1Password for Agents

1Password for Agents is a platform from 1Password, announced on 22 October 2026, that lets supported personal AI agents sign in to accounts and services on the user's behalf. When an agent reaches a sign-in page, the agent app requests the needed credential from 1Password; once the user approves, 1Password auto-fills the login into the destination site so the agent never gains access to the password or one-time code itself.

Credentials stay in the encrypted 1Password vault, and the user can see and approve what will be shared and disconnect the integration at any time. The product supports working with multiple agents at once while keeping logins separate from the agent; the scope of safeguards and controls varies by specific integration.

The feature is available at no additional cost for 1Password Individual and Family accounts on 1Password.com; accounts on 1Password.eu and 1Password.ca are not currently supported. 1Password also offers a path for developers building their own personal agents to integrate with the platform.
