Androidclaw (also written AndroidClaw) is a community name and pattern for agentic AI apps on Android, inspired by the open-source OpenClaw project. It is not a single, official product — several independent implementations by different developers exist under this name (including GitHub repositories and the androidclaw.org site).
Common pattern: the app runs natively on the phone (often as a single APK), reads screen content via Android's Accessibility API, reasons with external LLM providers (e.g. Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter) and performs on-device actions — taps, text entry, scrolling. Some variants add remote control via a messenger (e.g. Telegram), voice input and scheduled tasks.
Androidclaw is often described as an Android flavor of OpenClaw; androidclaw.org calls it a “flavor of OpenClaw” and releases it under the MIT license, emphasizing on-device processing. Official native OpenClaw apps for iOS and Android exist separately and are developed by the OpenClaw Foundation.
Note: because of the project's distributed, community-driven nature and the absence of a single canonical publisher, some details (specific features, release dates, security) vary across implementations and have limited verifiability.
