Claude Duet

Claude Duet is an Anthropic app in which Claude acts as a proactive agent. Instead of waiting for you to open a chat, it comes to you with what needs attention: each morning it sends a short brief of the most important items from your connected apps, and throughout the day it monitors those apps and reaches out only when something needs a decision.

You talk to Duet by text or voice in a single ongoing thread, and it draws on the memory, skills, and connectors from your Claude account (more than 6,000 connectors and plugins). Duet takes on tasks of all sizes — from scheduling a meeting to building a dashboard, a financial forecast, or a web-app prototype — and works on them in the background on its own cloud computer with a separate browser, independent of your device.

The system is powered by Claude Opus 5.5. Before sensitive operations such as sending a message or making a payment, Duet asks for approval; sign-in credentials are isolated (the agent never sees passwords or tokens), and a dedicated classifier blocks leaks of the most sensitive information. At launch, Claude Duet is available as a waitlisted research preview on the Pro and Max plans, in the US only; it runs as a standalone app on iOS and Android and on the web at claude.ai.
