Claude for PowerPoint is Anthropic's official Microsoft PowerPoint add-in — it is not Microsoft Copilot, but Anthropic's own add-in installed from Microsoft AppSource (the "Claude for Microsoft 365" listing) or admin-deployed via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Once installed, Claude appears in the Home ribbon / add-in sidebar and you sign in with your Claude account. It is part of the Claude for M365 suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), which share conversation state across apps.
Capabilities: building decks from scratch using existing corporate/client templates (reading the slide master, layouts, fonts, colors), pinpoint edits to individual slides without regenerating the deck, generating full deck structures from natural language, converting bullets into diagrams and native, editable PowerPoint charts, pulling external context via connectors, Skills, persistent per-app instructions and dictation. Requirements: PowerPoint on the web; on Windows with a Microsoft 365 subscription (build 16.0.13127.20296+); on Mac 16.46+. Not supported: PowerPoint 2016/2019 (perpetual/volume), iPad, Android. Generally available for Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans; it uses your existing Claude account and usage limits. Inputs/outputs are deleted backend-side within 30 days; chat history is stored locally (browser IndexedDB).
