Microsoft 365 is Microsoft's cloud productivity suite, spanning the Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Teams, OneDrive and other services. Its AI layer is Microsoft 365 Copilot — a generative assistant embedded directly in the Office apps (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/Teams), grounded in organizational data via Microsoft Graph. Copilot drafts and transforms documents, analyzes data in Excel, builds presentations, summarizes meetings and email threads, and answers questions in the context of corporate content.
The Copilot ecosystem includes Copilot Chat, Copilot Pages (a shared live canvas), Copilot Notebooks, Copilot Vision and Copilot Studio — a low-code agent builder. Microsoft 365 is available in consumer and business plans (including Business/Enterprise), and Microsoft 365 Copilot is offered as an add-on/license for business plans. The suite runs in the browser and in desktop and mobile apps.
