OpenArt

OpenArt is a generative AI platform for creating and editing visual content, founded in 2022 by Coco Mao (CEO) and John Qiao (CTO) — former Google employees — and headquartered in Redwood City, California. The platform aggregates over 100 generative models spanning image, video, and audio, including FLUX, FLUX.2, Stable Diffusion XL, DALL-E 3, GPT Image 2, Nano Banana (Gemini Flash), Kling, Seedance 2.0, Seedream, LTX, and community-trained models. Users can train custom models (LoRA) on their own image datasets.

In March 2026, the platform underwent a comprehensive interface reorganization and launched OpenArt Suite — a unified creative environment combining image generation, video, character consistency (Character Consistency), three-dimensional environments (Worlds), and audio within a single workspace. Key features include: text-to-image, image-to-image, text-to-video, image-to-video, lip-sync, motion sync, inpainting, background extension, object removal and replacement, face swap, upscaling, sketch-to-image, bulk create, and One-Click Story — automatic short video generation from a single prompt. Users can create visually consistent characters (Characters) and worlds (Worlds) and reuse them across projects via @Character and @Image syntax.

OpenArt operates on a credit-based freemium model and provides an API for developers. As of mid-2025, the platform reported approximately 6 million monthly active users and an annual recurring revenue (ARR) exceeding $20 million USD. In 2023, it raised $5 million in a seed round from Basis Set Ventures and DCM Ventures.
