Safe work and reading a simple schematic
Fundamentals of Electricity and Circuits
Introduction
A schematic is the language we use to describe a circuit — component symbols, connection lines and labels (R1, LED1, GND) say what connects to what, regardless of the physical layout. This lesson teaches reading the basic symbols and the rules of safe work at the low Arduino voltage: disconnecting power before rewiring, avoiding shorts, minding correct voltages (5 V vs 3.3 V) and polarity, and current limits. Voltages around 5 V are not dangerous to a person, but it is easy to damage components.
