Chinese company based in Shenzhen, founded in 2023, specializing in general-purpose robots with its proprietary embodied intelligence model GOVLA and the AlphaBot robot series for industrial and commercial applications.
AI² Robotics (legal name: Shenzhen Zhipingfang Technology Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese company based in Shenzhen, founded in April 2023 by Dr. Guo Yandong — formerly an AI researcher at Microsoft, then chief scientist at XPeng Motors and OPPO. The company specialises in general-purpose robots for industrial and service applications, combining proprietary foundation models with hardware design and manufacturing.
Its flagship product line is the AlphaBot series (AlphaBot, AlphaBot 2), powered by the proprietary AI model Alpha Brain (GOVLA: Global & Omni-body Vision-Language-Action). AlphaBot 2 is a wheeled dual-arm robot with 34 degrees of freedom, deployed in semiconductor manufacturing (including a contract with HKC for 1,000 units), automotive (Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor), biotechnology, and public services (airports).
In June 2025, the company released an open-source version of the GOVLA model under the name FiS-VLA, developed in collaboration with Peking University. In independent evaluations, FiS-VLA outperformed the π0 benchmark by 30%. The company launched its own production line in September 2025, reaching three years' worth of monthly shipment targets by the end of that year; planned production capacity is set to scale from 1,000 to 10,000 units annually in 2026.
In February 2026, AI² Robotics closed a Series B funding round exceeding 1 billion yuan (~USD 144 million), valuing the company at over 10 billion yuan (~USD 1.45 billion). Investors included Baidu, CRRC Capital, and Guotai Haitong Securities. The company has stated plans to pursue a public listing within one to two years.
