Baidu, Inc. is a Chinese multinational technology company headquartered in Beijing, incorporated on 18 January 2000 by Robin Li and Eric Xu. The company holds a dominant position in China's search engine market and provides a wide range of Internet services, including the Baidu App, the Baidu Baike online encyclopedia, the Baidu Tieba forum, Baidu Maps and the iQIYI video streaming service. Beyond search, Baidu operates a full-stack AI business spanning foundation models in the ERNIE family, the Baidu AI Cloud, Kunlun AI chips and the Apollo autonomous driving platform. Its Apollo Go robotaxi service runs driverless fleets across several Chinese cities. Baidu went public on NASDAQ in 2005 and obtained a secondary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2021.
