Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center

Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center (brand X-Humanoid) was incorporated on 2 November 2023 in Beijing’s Economic-Technological Development Area (Yizhuang / E-Town) as China’s first full-stack (hardware + software) embodied-intelligence company. It was jointly founded by UBTECH, Xiaomi (Xiaomi Robotics), Beijing Jingcheng Electromechanical and Yizhuang Robotics, with UBTECH CTO Xiong Youjun (熊友军) as CEO and legal representative. In October 2024 the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Beijing government designated it the "National and Local Co-built Embodied Intelligent Robot Innovation Center." Its work centers on two platforms: the general-purpose humanoid robot Tiangong (Tien Kung) and the embodied-intelligence platform Huisi Kaiwu. Tiangong Ultra won the world’s first humanoid half-marathon on 19 April 2025 (2:40:42). The center open-sources datasets and models (RoboMIND, WoW, Pelican-VL, TienKung-Lab) via its Open-X-Humanoid GitHub organization. In February 2026 it closed its first institutional financing round of over RMB 700 million (approx. US$100M).
