BP

BP p.l.c. is a British multinational oil, gas and energy company headquartered in London. The company traces its origins to the Anglo-Persian Oil Company founded in 1909; it adopted its current name, BP p.l.c., in 2001. Its operations span the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas, energy trading, refining, and the manufacture, transport and sale of fuels and petroleum products. The group also develops lower-carbon activities, including electric-vehicle charging (bp pulse). BP is listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE, as an ADR) and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 index.
