Canva (Canva Pty Ltd) is an Australian technology company founded in 2013 that develops an online graphic design platform. The platform operates on a freemium model and offers a drag-and-drop interface with templates for presentations, posters and social media content, plus photo and video editing tools. The company expanded into generative AI features bundled in Magic Studio (including Canva AI and the Dream Lab image generator). Canva has acquired companies including Kaleido.ai, Smartmockups, Flourish, UK-based Serif (maker of the Affinity suite) and the Leonardo AI platform. By the end of 2025 it reported more than 265 million monthly active users.
