Cloudflare, Inc. is an American technology company founded in 2009 by Matthew Prince, Michelle Zatlyn and Lee Holloway. It operates one of the world's largest global edge networks, through which a significant share of internet traffic flows. Cloudflare's core services are a content-delivery network (CDN) and website acceleration, security (DDoS protection, a WAF web application firewall, Zero Trust/SASE access), managed DNS and the public 1.1.1.1 resolver. For developers it offers the serverless Cloudflare Workers platform, and in AI - Workers AI, i.e. model inference run at the network edge, close to the user, plus services such as AI Gateway and Vectorize. Cloudflare is a public company listed on the NYSE under the symbol NET, headquartered in San Francisco. Its business model combines a free (freemium) plan with paid subscriptions and usage-based billing for businesses and developers.
