Ukrainian defense-technology company designing unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and weapon modules for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Develops the Droid TW and NW reconnaissance-strike platforms and the Droid Box control system.
DevDroid is a Ukrainian defense-technology company specialising in unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and remotely operated weapon modules for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The team builds robots at the intersection of hardware, software and practical combat experience — from reconnaissance and logistics to direct fire strikes. The portfolio includes the Droid TW 12.7 (tracked, 12.7 mm) and Droid NW 40 (wheeled, 40 mm) platforms, the Wolly 7.62 and Wolly 12.7 combat modules, electric triggers for the M2 Browning and Mk-19, and the proprietary Droid Box control system.
Droid Box is the heart of the platform: a minimalist interface that lets the operator fully control the UGV, connect modules and receive real-time analytics. Key feature: a stable link up to 100 km from the operator via Starlink or LTE — enabling deep reconnaissance and strikes on enemy rear areas without exposing soldiers.
DevDroid uses a tactic that combines UGVs with aerial reconnaissance drones: the drones (often nocturnal) detect targets, the ground robot operator — controlling it from tens of kilometres away — leads the UGV to complete the task. UGVs can also carry strike drones and act as communication relays. The company is one of the key manufacturers in the Ukrainian order for 50,000 UGVs by end of 2026, announced by President Zelensky in April 2026 (per IEEE Spectrum, July 2026).
