Dolby Laboratories is an American audio and imaging technology company founded in 1965 by Ray Dolby and headquartered in San Francisco. The company is known for noise-reduction, spatial-audio (Dolby Atmos) and HDR imaging (Dolby Vision) technologies licensed to device makers, studios and streaming platforms. Dolby also develops machine-learning-assisted audio-visual processing, including audio and image enhancement and spatial content reproduction.
