Fire Foresight

Fire Foresight Global Pty Ltd is an Australian technology company building an integrated early-detection ecosystem for bushfires — combining satellite data, lightning intelligence, ground sensors, drones and AI analysis into a single detect-verify-act response system. The company is an Australian Proprietary Limited (Pty Ltd) entity. Its CEO is Rob Vernon.

The primary platform is FireBase — an operator dashboard integrating all data streams into a single, real-time view of the fire situation. Fire Foresight's AI algorithms automatically identify potential ignitions, verify threats, and coordinate rapid intervention while a small spark can still be safely contained. According to the company, its technology covers 2.2 million hectares, has monitored more than 2,532 fires, and has accumulated over 116,800 hours of surveillance across 11 countries.

Fire Foresight's customers are organizations in forestry, energy, mining and carbon projects. Public references include Sustainable Timber Tasmania (quote from Dr. Shaun Suitor, Strategy Manager). In 2026 Fire Foresight, together with the UK-based AURA, co-formed the international AURA Foresight consortium, which reached the finals of the XPRIZE Wildfire Autonomous Wildfire Response competition (1 of 4 teams chosen from more than 130 global competitors). The consortium brings together universities (Bristol, Sheffield, Manchester, Southern Denmark), fire and rescue services (Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service) and drone companies (SkyFly Drones, Taz Drone Solutions, Robotic Cats).
