HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency) is Singapore's science and technology agency, operating as a statutory board of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Established on 1 December 2019, it describes itself as the world's first science and technology agency that integrates a broad range of scientific and engineering capabilities to deliver operationally ready solutions for public safety. HTX supports the Home Team departments — including the Singapore Police Force (SPF), the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), the Singapore Prison Service and other agencies. Its areas of expertise span artificial intelligence, robotics and unmanned systems, biometrics, digital and physical forensics, sensors and sensemaking, cybersecurity and CBRNE threats. In 2024 HTX announced an 'AI first' strategy and an expansion of its AI teams. Its headquarters is at 1 Stars Avenue, Singapore.
