Hugging Face, Inc. is an American technology company headquartered in New York City, founded in 2016 by French entrepreneurs Clément Delangue, Julien Chaumond, and Thomas Wolf. It operates the Hugging Face Hub — the largest public repository of ML models and datasets — and develops key open-source libraries including Transformers, Diffusers, Datasets, Accelerate, PEFT, and LeRobot (robotics). In 2023 it formed a strategic partnership with AWS, and in April 2025 it acquired the French humanoid robotics startup Pollen Robotics. The company is privately held; its last publicly disclosed valuation was approximately USD 4.5B (August 2023).
