Kuwait Oil Company

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) is Kuwait's national oil and gas company responsible for the exploration, development and production (upstream) of crude oil and natural gas onshore and offshore in Kuwait. Founded in 1934 as a joint venture between Gulf Oil and the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, it was nationalized during the 1970s. It currently operates as a subsidiary of the state-owned holding company Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). The company is headquartered in Al Ahmadi.
