LUMIA Lab (Language Understanding and Machine Intelligence Algorithms) is an academic machine-learning research group at the School of Artificial Intelligence and the John Hopcroft Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), led by Prof. Zhouhan Lin. The group works on language modeling and large language models (new architectures, pretraining), memory-augmented LLMs, model efficiency (context and KV-cache compression), long-context modeling, graph neural networks and graph transformers, multimodal learning (audio-visual, speech, VLMs) and trustworthy AI (LLM safety and fingerprinting). It releases research code as open source under the LUMIA-Group GitHub organization.
