Nature Communications is a peer-reviewed, fully open-access scientific journal launched in 2010 and published by Nature Portfolio, a division of Springer Nature. It publishes research across the natural sciences, including physics, chemistry, earth sciences, biology and medicine. Since January 2016 all content has been freely available under open access, funded by article processing charges (APCs). Editorial offices are located in London, Berlin, New York City and Shanghai. It is one of the largest and most-cited multidisciplinary journals in the world. Its publisher, Springer Nature, is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (SPG).
