In the AI domain, NEC develops its proprietary large language model NEC cotomi, the digital transformation platform NEC BluStellar, and autonomous AI systems (Agentic AI). NEC Generative AI Service was launched in July 2023. In December 2023, NEC announced a new AI strategy and plans to achieve approximately 50 billion JPY in AI-related revenue over the following three years.
