The Objective-See Foundation is a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2021 in Hawaii by security researcher Patrick Wardle. It continues the Objective-See project Wardle started in 2015. The foundation develops and freely distributes open-source macOS security tools, including the LuLu firewall, KnockKnock, BlockBlock, OverSight, RansomWhere?, Netiquette and DoNotDisturb. It also runs educational programs (the "The Art of Mac Malware" book series and training) and organizes Objective by the Sea (OBTS), a conference dedicated to Apple security. Its work is funded by donations and sponsor support.
