PETRONAS

PETRONAS (Petroliam Nasional Berhad) is a Malaysian fully state-owned oil and gas corporation headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, incorporated on 17 August 1974. Wholly owned by the Government of Malaysia, it is statutorily vested with all petroleum (oil and gas) resources in the country. It operates as an integrated group spanning upstream exploration and production, downstream refining and distribution, petrochemicals, LNG and lubricants; several of its subsidiaries (including PETRONAS Chemicals, PETRONAS Gas, PETRONAS Dagangan and MISC) are listed on Bursa Malaysia, while the parent company itself is not publicly listed. PETRONAS operates in more than 50 countries and consistently ranks among the Fortune Global 500. Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Aziz serves as President & Group CEO, and Mohd Bakke Salleh is chairman of the board.
