PitchBook Data, Inc. is a US company providing data, research and analysis on private capital markets, including venture capital, private equity and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Founded in 2007 by John Gabbert, it is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. Since 2016 PitchBook has been wholly owned by Morningstar, Inc., which acquired the company for approximately $225 million. It employs more than 3,000 people and operates offices in New York, London and Singapore, among others.
