Princeton University is a private Ivy League research university in Princeton, New Jersey. Founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey, it was renamed Princeton University in 1896. It conducts research across the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering and applied science, and in AI it works on natural language processing, machine learning, and computer vision. It manages the U.S. Department of Energy's Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.
