Pronto (Pronto.ai) is an American vehicle-autonomy company founded around 2018 by Anthony Levandowski, headquartered in San Francisco. The company builds an OEM-agnostic Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) for off-road environments — mines and quarries — based on a vision (camera) approach to self-driving. Pronto’s solutions aim to increase productivity and safety while lowering the cost of industrial operations. The company became part of Atoms (Travis Kalanick’s company) as the core of the Atoms Mining division; its milestones include an agreement to deploy 100+ autonomous haul trucks with Heidelberg Materials (2025), the acquisition of SafeAI (2025) and partnerships with Komatsu and Caterpillar for construction autonomy.
