Salesforce, Inc. is an American technology company headquartered in San Francisco, founded in 1999 by Marc Benioff, Parker Harris, Dave Moellenhoff and Frank Dominguez. The company pioneered the SaaS model, introducing the first widely adopted fully browser-based CRM. Today Salesforce delivers the unified Customer 360 platform covering sales (Sales Cloud), service (Service Cloud), marketing, commerce, analytics (Tableau), integration (MuleSoft) and team communication (Slack). The Einstein AI layer has been embedded in its products since 2016, and in 2024 the company launched Agentforce — an autonomous AI agent platform for enterprises.
