Israeli-American physicist and engineer with a Princeton PhD. Inventor of the Floating Gate EEPROM, which proved the practicality and endurance of semiconductor-based non-volatile memory — the foundation of today's flash. Co-founded SunDisk in 1988 with Sanjay Mehrotra and Jack Yuan. In 2014 he received the National Medal of Technology and Innovation from President Barack Obama.
Indian-American engineer, UC Berkeley graduate (BS/MS Electrical Engineering). Co-founded SunDisk/SanDisk in 1988 and stayed until 2016 (after the Western Digital acquisition). In 2017 he became CEO of Micron Technology, SanDisk's competitor in the memory market.

After the announcement of the SanDisk spin-off from WD in 2023, he moved to Sandisk as CEO at the completion of the split on February 24, 2025. Previously a long-time Executive Vice President at Cisco (Networking and Security).
