Scout AI
Founded 2024 · Sunnyvale, United StatesScout AI is a U.S. defense AI startup founded in 2024 by Colby Adcock (CEO) and Collin Otis (CTO), headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. The company describes itself as a frontier AI lab for war and is building Fury, a Vision-Language-Action (VLA) foundation model for commanding unmanned systems across land, air, sea, and space. Its second product, Ox, is a command-and-control (C2) software bundled with hardened compute, communications, and camera hardware, enabling a single soldier to orchestrate multiple drones and autonomous ground vehicles. Scout AI has secured roughly $11 million in contracts with DARPA, the Army Applications Laboratory, and other Department of War customers, and is one of 20 autonomy companies whose technology is being used by the U.S. Army’s 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood. In April 2026 the company closed a $100 million Series A co-led by Align Ventures and Draper Associates.
