Portuguese robotics company designing and manufacturing dexterous robot hands (RH8D, RH6D), manipulators (RH4D) and FTS tactile pressure sensors for research in robotics, AI and cognitive sciences.
Seed Robotics is a European robotics company founded in 2015, specializing in robotic solutions for research in artificial intelligence, neuroscience, psychology and cognitive science. The company designs and manufactures dexterous humanoid hands (adult-size RH8D, child-size RH6D), compact manipulators (RH4D) and high-resolution FTS tactile pressure sensors (1 mN resolution, up to 30 N) that can be embedded in Seed hands or used standalone as the SINGLEX variant. In 2019 Seed Robotics collaborated with the University of Hamburg to manufacture the open-source humanoid research robot NICO. In 2020 the company relocated to Lisbon, Portugal. Co-founders are Marco Prata (Hardware Scientist) and Pedro Ramilo (Lead Software Architect).
