Shell plc

Shell plc is a British multinational oil, gas and energy company headquartered in London. The company was formed in April 1907 through the merger of the Netherlands-based Royal Dutch Petroleum Company and the UK-based "Shell" Transport and Trading Company; the current legal entity was created in 2005 as Royal Dutch Shell plc and renamed Shell plc in 2022. Shell is vertically integrated and operates across every segment of the oil and gas industry: exploration and production, refining, transport, distribution and retail marketing, petrochemicals, power generation and trading. It operates in dozens of countries and runs a global network of service stations. Shell is a public company with a primary listing on the London Stock Exchange and secondary listings on Euronext Amsterdam and the New York Stock Exchange.
