Southern University of Science and Technology

Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech, 南方科技大学) is a public research university located in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. Founded in 2010 (known until 2016 as the South University of Science and Technology of China), it is owned and funded by the Shenzhen Municipal Government. The university has a faculty of over 1,300 members and educates more than 14,000 undergraduate, master's and doctoral students. SUSTech conducts research across the natural sciences and engineering, including artificial intelligence, robotics and embodied AI. Its founding president was the chemist Zhu Qingshi (2009–2014).
