Stripe

Stripe is an American technology company founded in 2010 by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison, building financial infrastructure for the internet. Its core products are application programming interfaces (APIs) and software that let businesses accept online and in-person payments and offer financial services. Its portfolio includes Payments, Connect, Billing, Radar, Terminal, Issuing and Tax, among others. The company is dual-headquartered in South San Francisco, California and Dublin, Ireland. Stripe remains a private company; in 2025 it processed approximately $1.9 trillion in total payment volume, and in February 2026 it was valued at $159 billion.
