Its portfolio includes OpenAI, Stripe, Instagram, GitHub, Spotify, Scale AI, Databricks, Anysphere (Cursor) and Nubank, among others. Thrive has raised a succession of increasingly large funds — from $5 million (Fund I, 2009) to multi-billion-dollar vehicles in later years. As reported in 2026, the firm managed roughly $50 billion in assets. Beyond investing, it also runs an incubations arm that helps build new companies.
