The University of Queensland (UQ) is a public research university based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, founded in 1909. It is one of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious universities and a member of the Group of Eight. UQ conducts wide-ranging research in the sciences, engineering, medicine and biotechnology, and its researchers work on insect cyborgs and biohybrid robotics, among other areas. Its main campus is in the suburb of St Lucia.
