V2EX (short for "way to explore") is a Chinese web forum founded in March 2006 by Liu Xin (known by the handle Livid). The site describes itself as "a community of designers, programmers and creative people." User content is organized into topical "nodes" — similar to Reddit categories/subreddits — and the ordering of threads on the homepage depends on their activity. The forum is available in Chinese and English; registration is optional (without it you cannot post and can only see limited content). V2EX is one of the best-known technical communities in the Chinese-language internet; as of 2022 it had more than 579,000 users.
