Vigier Cement

Vigier Cement (Ciments Vigier SA) is a Swiss cement producer headquartered in the Rondchâtel industrial zone in Péry, canton of Bern. Cement has been produced in the Reuchenette gorge (Klus) continuously since 1891, making the company a pioneer of Portland cement production in Switzerland. The plant produces around 900,000 tonnes of cement per year and employs roughly 165 people, ranking among Switzerland's leading cement manufacturers. Beyond cement production, the company offers consulting as well as transport and logistics (including via its Vitrans subsidiary), emphasizing just-in-time delivery to construction sites. Vigier holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. The company is part of the Vigier group (Vigier Holding), which belongs to the French Vicat group — one of Europe's leading building-materials producers; within Vicat, the Vigier brand covers the production of cement, concrete and railway sleepers in Switzerland.
