Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform operating under the tagline 'The Utility of Compute'. Unlike typical providers that rent the layers they cannot build, Volta controls the entire stack - from institutional capital through powered land, data centers, dedicated compute, to software and operations - under a single founder-led enterprise. The goal is to deliver AI compute the way electricity is delivered: dependable, plentiful and available to every organization that needs it - not only hyperscalers. Volta builds and operates 'AI Factories' for frontier AI labs and AI-native scale-ups. The infrastructure includes gigascale campuses on the NVIDIA DSX platform (extreme GPU density, liquid cooling) and dedicated NVIDIA Vera Rubin systems on InfiniBand/RoCE networks. The company secures power outside the grid queue - over 1 GW of near-term capacity via behind-the-meter generation and proprietary power contracting (including 130 MW+ in Norway). Funding includes a $5B AI Infrastructure Program (Azora), project debt and a Series A co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Altimeter; the company announced a $10B 'AI Factory' deal.
