Zoox, Inc. is an American autonomous mobility company founded on 29 July 2014 by Tim Kentley-Klay and Jesse Levinson, headquartered in Foster City, California. Since January 2019 it has been led by Aicha Evans. In June 2020 Zoox was acquired by Amazon.com for over US$1.2B and operates as its subsidiary. Unlike its competitors, Zoox designs its own purpose-built vehicle — a symmetrical, bidirectional, electric robotaxi with no steering wheel or pedals, built from the ground up for autonomous driving. The company launched a commercial robotaxi service in Las Vegas (2025) and a public service in San Francisco (2025), while testing in additional U.S. cities.
