Carbon is a family of open language models developed by the Hugging Face Bio team, trained jointly on DNA sequences and natural-language text. The models take raw DNA inside an ordinary conversation and answer in English, predicting mutation pathogenicity, identifying regulatory regions and predicting the next bases of a sequence.
