About

K2 Horizon is a family of open language models developed by the Institute of Foundation Models (IFM), a global research lab affiliated with MBZUAI. The family includes Mixture-of-Experts variants (the flagship 375B-A23B with 23B active parameters and a 36B-A4B model using Mixture-of-Values Attention with 4B active parameters) and dense models (32B, 7B, 3.7B, 0.9B). The models feature a native 512K-token context, follow the fully open LLM360 philosophy — releasing weights, code and training data — and are distributed under the Apache 2.0 license. Flagship variants launched on September 3, 2026.
