About
Runway GWM (General World Models) is a family of autoregressive world models built on the Gen-4.5 foundation. Goal: represent and simulate a wide range of real-world situations in real time. The family currently includes GWM-1 (first release, December 2025) with three post-trained variants: GWM Worlds (explorable environments), GWM Avatars / Runway Characters (interactive audio-driven characters), and GWM Robotics (diffusion backbone for robot policies). Runway ultimately plans to unify many domains and action spaces under a single base world model.
