Step is a family of AI models developed by the Chinese company StepFun (阶跃星辰, Shanghai Jieyue Xingchen). It includes language models (such as Step-2 — a trillion-parameter MoE model, and later Step-3 and Step-3.5 Flash), multimodal models (Step-1.5V) and image generators (Step-1X). StepFun is one of China’s “AI Tigers”.
