Wan (also known as Tongyi Wanxiang) is a family of open video-generation models developed by the Wan team at Alibaba. It spans successive generations (including Wan2.1 and Wan2.2) and variants: text-to-video (T2V), image-to-video (I2V), unified T/I2V, speech-to-video (S2V) and character animation (Animate). The models are released under an open license and emphasize cinematic quality and accessibility on consumer hardware.
