WeatherNext is a family of AI weather-forecasting models developed jointly by Google DeepMind and Google Research. The models produce fast, probabilistic (ensemble) atmospheric forecasts, building on the GraphCast and GenCast lines of work. The latest member, WeatherNext 2, is about 8x faster than its predecessor and better predicts extreme events. The models are available via Google Cloud (Vertex AI), BigQuery, Google Earth Engine, the Google Maps Weather API and Google products (Search, Gemini, Pixel Weather).
