A humanoid from an unlikely source

Faraday Future spent years fighting insolvency, delayed deliveries, and skeptical investors. The robotics pivot is a bold bet — but also a logical one. The company's experience with complex electric platforms (batteries, motors, electronics) maps directly onto humanoid design challenges.

All-New Futurist is a full-size humanoid targeting commercial and industrial deployments. Its T-shaped frame improves dynamic stability and produces a more human-like gait. At 121 lbs (14% lighter than the previous generation), with a 320 Nm peak knee torque, the robot can run at up to ~11 mph. A 1,152 Wh dual-battery system delivers six hours of continuous runtime with auto-charging. Open platform for developers

FF launched its Developer Platform — Youth Edition — open to external developers today. Available tools include:
