AiMOGA's Mobo: pre-orders open October 21, no specs disclosed

AiMOGA unveils Mobo, its first home humanoid, in Wuhu on October 21. Global pre-orders open the same day. The company has disclosed no price, no hardware specification and no delivery date.

Key takeaways

  • Launch and global pre-order opening: October 21 in Wuhu, Anhui province
  • The event is part of the 2026 Chery International User Summit
  • Mobo handles voice, object recognition, reminders and long-term memory
  • The MoAgent system links perception, interaction and task planning
  • The announcement carries no pricing, no hardware parameters and no task-success figures

A robot for conversation, not laundry

Mobo is pitched as a family companion. It is meant to talk, remind users of plans and recognise objects around it. Long-term memory lets it pick up earlier conversations.

Most humanoids shown this year are sold as labour for a warehouse or a production line. AiMOGA is selling presence.

MoAgent ties perception to execution

The software layer is MoAgent, developed in-house. It links perception, interaction and task execution. It is supposed to understand a user request and break it into steps.

The company published no numbers, though. There is no task success rate, no response time, no object-recognition range.

The backing comes from carmaking

AiMOGA belongs to the Chery group and draws on 31 in-house R&D laboratories covering motion control and intelligent perception among other areas.

The company talks about vehicle-robot synergy: technology from intelligent cockpits and autonomous driving systems feeds robot control. Supply chain and quality control also come from Chery.

The home is a new market for AiMOGA

The company is not starting from scratch. Its robots already work in sales reception, in traffic management and in guiding patients at medical facilities. Mobo is an attempt to carry that experience into a living room.

This is not the robot's first public appearance either. It was shown earlier at the World Robot Conference and the World Manufacturing Convention, but without open sales and without published specifications.

Mobo is one of five robots on the stand

Why it matters

A carmaker moving into home robotics tests a different thesis from the one dominating the industry. Instead of fighting for physical labour, AiMOGA targets social interaction — a market where the hardware bar sits much lower and the conversational bar much higher.

What's next

  • On October 21 AiMOGA is expected to reveal what exactly can be ordered, where it will ship and which features will be available at delivery
  • The five-robot showcase at the Chery Global Technology Innovation Center runs until October 23
