Spot Arm
Spot Arm is an optional manipulator arm mounted on Boston Dynamics' Spot quadruped robot. The arm has six degrees of freedom and is tipped with a gripper (BD Hand), letting the robot grasp, lift and carry objects, open doors and valves, and perform manipulation tasks in industrial inspection and security applications.
The arm extends Spot's capabilities from locomotion and perception alone to active manipulation, and through autonomous behaviors (e.g. autograsp) and teleoperation it can operate in supervised or partially autonomous modes.
Spot Arm is used in integrations for CBRN tasks and critical-infrastructure inspection, among others.
